The details surrounding the creation of the municipal “Sliven Industrial Park” were discussed today at a meeting by Mayor Stefan Radev and municipal councilors. The proposal to create the municipal park is included in the agenda of the session of the local parliament, which will be held tomorrow – June 29. This is another step towards realizing the idea of improving the investment climate in the municipality and attracting investors. The first was done with the approval of a Detailed Development Plan. After that, a commercial company “Industrial Park Sliven” EOOD was established, with manager Solomon Moscona, in which the Municipality of Sliven is the sole owner of the capital.

“To develop the area as an Industrial Park, however, under the Industrial Parks Act, the next step is to enter that area in the Register of Industrial Parks. A decision of the Municipal Council is necessary for this,” the mayor said at the meeting. The proposal to the Municipal Council includes the documents necessary for the registration of the Park – concept for the industrial park, rules of organization, business plan and others.

The manager of the municipal company, Solomon Moscona, presented details of the project, registration and documentation. For the construction of the industrial park, the Municipality will apply for financing under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan, and the deadline for this is the beginning of November this year. “We are working hard to prepare the documents and submit them by November 2,” Moscona said.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Municipal Council Dimitar Mitev, the Deputy Mayor Kamen Kostov and municipal councilors from various groups.
