Sliven’s Investment Potential in the Focus of Bulgarian-Turkish Business Dialogue

On March 17, 2026, the Deputy Mayor for Economic Development of Sliven Municipality, Eng. Stoyan Markov, and Solomon Moskona, Manager of Industrial Park Sliven Ltd., held a working meeting with Fikret Ince, majority owner of Alcomet AD and Chairman of the Turkey-Bulgaria Business Council at DEIK, along with Emrah Sazak, Executive Director of the Bulgarian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The discussion took place at Sofia Tech Park in the office of the InvestBulgaria Agency and was aimed at deepening economic cooperation and promoting investment opportunities in the region.

During the talks, representatives of Sliven Municipality and Industrial Park Sliven presented the current status of the park, its infrastructure readiness, and its strategic advantages as an investment destination. Specific opportunities for the development of industrial projects and the attraction of foreign investors, including from Turkey, were outlined.

Among the key advantages of Industrial Park Sliven, its strategic geographical location near the Bulgarian-Turkish border, the presence of developed railway infrastructure, and the availability of an airstrip were highlighted. These factors create a favorable environment for logistics, manufacturing, and export-oriented activities.

The meeting participants agreed on the need to activate bilateral economic ties and emphasized the role of such initiatives in stimulating regional development and attracting sustainable investments.

The meeting was held in a constructive spirit, with the parties expressing readiness to continue the dialogue and implement joint initiatives in the future. Mr. Ince and Mr. Sazak confirmed that they will visit the city of Sliven for the opening of the Industrial Park on April 24, 2026.
