The ambitious campaign for the promotion of the Industrial Park in Sliven and its presentation as a future investment destination for investors continues. The trade association, which was created to manage the park, has added another one to its partners – the Bulgaria-Romania Bilateral Chamber of Commerce. The cooperation agreement was signed in the Municipality by the manager of “Industrial Park Sliven” Solomon Moscona and the chairman of the Chamber Doru Dragomir. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Mayor for Economic Development Eng. Stoyan Markov and the Executive Director of the Bulgaria-Romania Bilateral Chamber of Commerce Mariana Grigorova.

Mayor Stefan Radev, who hosted the meeting, introduced the guests to the goals and vision of the Municipality in developing the project for the industrial park. The undertaking is the most significant infrastructure project to date. It is set for implementation both in the Plan for Integrated Development of the Municipality of Sliven and in the Concept for Integrated Territorial Investments for the period 2021-2027. In November last year, the Municipality applied for funding from the Plan for Recovery and Sustainability for the construction of leading and internal technical infrastructure of the park.

Doru Dragomir welcomes the efforts and intentions of the Municipality to set up an industrial park, which in the future can become an engine of economic development in the region. In front of the mayor of Sliven, he shared that during his numerous international meetings and contacts, there is an increasingly strong investor interest in the countries of Eastern Europe.

During the conversation, the guests had the opportunity to learn about other current and future projects of the Municipality. Attention was also paid to future joint initiatives to strengthen relations and contacts between Bulgaria and Romania.
