“Sliven Industrial Park” is the most significant and largest infrastructure project of the Municipality

“Sliven Industrial Park” is the most important and largest infrastructure project of the Municipality of Sliven. It is set for implementation both in the Plan for Integrated Development of the Sliven Municipality and in the Concept for Integrated Territorial Investments for the period 2021-2027, announced the manager Solomon Moscona.
The park has unique transport connectivity
It includes a connection with the main road II-53 from the Sliven-Yambol republic network, direct access to the Trakia highway (the distance is only 17 km), the possibility of building a railway terminal in the park, agreed with the National Railway Infrastructure Company, and reserved airport. It has a runway 2.5 km long and allows the landing of large transport aircraft.
The preservation of the terrain with the airport and the possibility of direct access to rail and land transportation ranks the park among the units of designated areas for industrial zones that have similar capabilities in one place in the country.

Internal infrastructure will be built
The area of the Sliven park is divided into zones. This makes it possible to apply separately under different programs, through which funding can be provided for the construction of upstream and domestic infrastructure. The park is divided into 17 districts located in 4 zones: “North” zone with an area of 452 decares; “Southeast” zone with an area of 533 decares; zone “Southwest” with an area of 38 decares; “Airport and Motorway” area with a total area of 1,660 decares.
For the construction of the infrastructure on the 452 decacre site /north of the airport/, a financing project will be submitted under the Program for Public Support for the Development of Industrial Areas, Parks and Similar Territories and for Attracting Investments (“AttractInvestBG”) from the Recovery Plan and sustainability. And the southern terrain of 533 decares is included in the concept of integrated territorial investments of the municipality, which will be financed under the “Regional Development” Program 2021-2027. The “Southwest” area with an area of 38 decares is suitable for a technology park.
It is registered of type “A”
A commercial company “Industrial Park Sliven” EOOD was established to manage the park, a concept was prepared with all the necessary documentation to fulfill the requirements of the Law on Industrial Parks and the procedure for entry into the Register of Industrial Parks in Bulgaria. “Sliven Industrial Park” is entered in the Register of Parks under number 30. It is of type “A” – general, in which there is no specialization of production activities. With this, Sliven becomes part of the investment policy at the national level with opportunities to attract investors and a recognizable destination for business development, both for local and multinational companies and their counterparties.
The economic profile of the wider Sliven-Yambol region was also examined and prepared, and strategic and structural planning actions were taken, as well as partnerships of the municipality of Sliven with the municipalities of Yambol, Tundzha, Straldzha, Nova Zagora, Kotel and Tvarditsa were created.
A campaign is underway to promote the park, an official website will be available soon
The team of “Industrial Park Sliven” EOOD and the Department for Attracting Investments in the Municipality of Sliven started a campaign to popularize the park, the main purpose of which is to hold meetings and participate in economic forums, conclude partnership agreements and contracts for the provision or purchase of land from investors on the territory of the park.
