Municipality of Sliven and Burgas Free University signed a cooperation agreement

Municipality of Sliven and Burgas Free University signed a cooperation agreement. The two parties agreed on the mutual exchange of information, knowledge, ideas, good practices, on attracting strategic investors and coordinating, developing and implementing joint activities and initiatives in connection with the development of the “Industrial Park-Sliven” and the region.

The document was signed by Rumen Ivanov, Deputy Mayor of Sliven Municipality and Prof. Dr. Milen Baltov, Rector of Burgas Free University.

“We have wonderful relations with the Municipality of Sliven. Today we do not turn a new page, but write on stone what exists with good intentions. I wish that the Municipality of Sliven, as one of the three municipalities on the path of intelligent specialization in Bulgaria, continues to develop. We as Burgas Free University, not only as a staff provider, will contribute to this. I also wish that Sliven will establish itself as a destination not only in the fields of tourism and entrepreneurship, but also as an investment destination,” said Prof. Dr. Baltov.

The event is another step in the development of Sliven as an investment destination after the establishment of “Industrial Park – Sliven” EOOD. At the beginning of the week, the manager of the park Solomon Moscona concluded partnership agreements with the chairman of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov, the chairman of the Bulgarian-Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry Savvas Karafilidis, with the heads of the chambers of commerce and industry in Stara Zagora and Sliven. The event was also attended by the deputy mayor for economic development of Sliven Stoyan Markov and the manager of “Industrial Park-Sliven” Solomon Moscona.
