Access infrastructure for the Sliven Industrial Park is fully completed

The first stage of the Sliven Industrial Park construction is nearing completion. It included the construction of the access and internal infrastructure of the North Zone. Activities began in May this year. The access infrastructure is fully finished and was completed ahead of the December 30, 2025 deadline. All underground communications are already in place – internal gas distribution network, water distribution pipeline, sewerage, and telecommunication conduit networks.
April 30, 2026, is the final deadline for the completion of the internal infrastructure, but work is expected to finish by the end of January, as only finishing works remain, including asphalt paving, sidewalks, and the power supply for the lighting, which is fully completed. Horizontal marking and finishing works on the pavements and sidewalks are planned after the New Year.
Mayor Stefan Radev reviewed the project’s progress on-site with Petko Gerov and Dimitar Drumev, representatives of the contractor company.
The investment is funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP). The total value of the project is nearly 23.8 million BGN, with co-financing amounting to nearly 6 million BGN.
A financing agreement for the second stage has already been signed. It will be implemented with 28 million BGN under the Sliven Municipality’s Concept for Integrated Territorial Investments (CITI), funded by the 2021–2027 Regions in Growth Program. The second stage includes the construction of internal infrastructure for the Southwest Zone, street lighting, a new road link and repair of an existing road, an administrative building, and irrigation and security systems for the North Zone.
The total area of the Industrial Park exceeds 2,500 decares, featuring a 2.5-kilometer runway within the site. The park is divided into 17 blocks and four zones – North, Southeast, Southwest, and an airport with a motor track.
The North Zone has a total area of 452,095 sq. m, the Southeast Zone – 533,424 sq. m, the Southwest Zone – 38,322 sq. m, and the airport with the motor track covers an area of 1,660,249 sq. m.
